Genesis 1:3-4
I welcome you to the second half of the year 2023, the year of HALLELUJAH. I believe you have started shouting hallelujah because of what the Lord has begun to do in your life. It is my prayer for you that the shout of hallelujah will never depart from your mouth, life, or home for the rest of this year in Jesus’ Name. The second half of this year shall usher in the season of light in your life in Jesus’ Name. God spoke in the Bible passage above, “Let there be light and there was light“, in the same vein, the voice of the Lord will decree light into your destiny, beginning now in Jesus’ name.
What is light?
Light is the opposite of darkness. It is the force that produces brightness. Light is life; light is liberty; light is prosperity; light is deliverance; light is joy; and light is hope and good expectations. When the light of God locates you, your life will never be the same again. In Acts 12:1-7, a certain king named Herod persecuted the church. He killed James, the brother of John, and proceeded to lay hands on Peter, who was arrested and kept in prison. But the church arose in prayer for him, and God sent the Angel of Deliverance, and a light shone in the prison house and cut off the chains used to bind Peter, thus leading to his escape from death. I decree again that the light of God will shine against every unholy gathering against you and your household in Jesus’ Name. In Exodus 14:20, God caused His light to create a gulf between the children of Israel and the Egyptians, which eventually led to the destruction of Pharaoh and the Egyptians that were chasing them. May the Almighty God cause His light to create a gulf between you and all your pursuers for evil in Jesus’ Name. According to 2 Samuel 22:29, God is our lamp, and the Lord will lighten our darkness. From today on, every reader of this piece will never grope in darkness anymore, and the Lord will lighten up your path in Jesus’ Name. The Bible in Job 18:5 adjudges that the light of the wicked shall be put out and the spark of his fire shall not shine; this shall be the testimony of your enemies in Jesus’ name.
What are the factors that can attract the light of God into your life?
1) RIGHTEOUSNESS: “Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart” (Psalm 97:11). While holiness and righteousness attract God’s light into your life, you cannot exhibit holiness without being born again. So, if you know deep in your heart that you are not born again, accept Jesus into your life today and experience a new lease of life through Him. Matthew 13:43 also emphasises that the righteous shall shine forth as the sun; that is, the light of God is shining on them and also through them. Daniel 12:3 says, “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever.” The Bible confirms that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), and the fear of the Lord is synonymous with righteousness.
2) PRAYER: This is the believer’s master key to receiving from God. According to Acts 12:1-7, when the church intervened and interceded by prayer, God heard them and sent down a warrior angel accompanied by the light of deliverance to rescue Peter. When you call on God, particularly in times of trouble, He hears and answers. So, call on Him today, and He will deliver you.
This is your month and season of light; shine on in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER POINTS
1) Thank God and give Him praise for the gift of life and the privilege of seeing a new month.
2) Father, please have mercy on me; whatever is in my life that will not allow Your light of deliverance and breakthrough to shine on me, remove it in Jesus’ name.
3) Father, I decree and declare that as Your light shines on me this month, let every seed and cell of sickness and disease in my blood and flesh be destroyed in the mighty name of Jesus.
4) Father, I decree and declare that as Your light shines on me this month, let the fingers of darkness pointed against my life wither in Jesus’ name.
5) Father, let Your light restore joy, hope, good expectations, and destiny fulfilment to my life this month In Jesus’ name.
