I welcome you very specially to the Month of February, the month of answered prayers and the testimonies. It is my prayer for you this month that your prayers will not go unanswered in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Lord, who hears the voice of Judah, will hear your voice and answer your prayers in 2018.
As you know, we are in a season of prayer and fasting (see back page for more details) and I would like to share with you certain tips that will help you make the maximum use of this solemn period.
1. Throughout this period I implore you to let your heart be right with God. Joshua 24:23 – Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel. The position of your heart with God is important at this time. Whatever will turn God against you must not be tolerated. Ensure you close your ears to the words and conversations that can pollute your heart. Do not allow your eyes to focus on evil. Mind where you allow your legs to take you and restrain your eyes from contaminated scenes.
2. Pray in and out of season. Luke 18:1-5 – And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. Throughout this period, always intercede, in whatever you are doing and wherever you go, pray always. If you are baptized in the Holy Ghost, pray in the spirit always.
3. Always allow the word of God and the scriptures to guide your heart and your ways throughout this period; and it shall be well with you in Jesus Name. Joshua 1:8 – This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
PRAYERS
I. Thank God for His mercies and goodness over your life in the past years and in 2018.
II. Father, as I stand before you this season, please create in me a new heart and renew Your spirit within me.
III. Father, throughput this fasting period, whatever I ask to come will come and whatever I ask to go will go in Jesus Name.
IV. Father open the door of joy and fulfilment to me this year in Jesus Name.
V. I decree and declare that no weapon formed or fashioned against me and my family shall prosper in Jesus Name.
