Breakthrough and Deliverance Service 10th Year Anniversary
The 10th anniversary of the Breakthrough and Deliverance Service (BDS) took place on the last weekend in March. The three-day program began with Reverend Sunday Awe’s ministrations, while Pastor Ola Olukoyede conducted an anointing service during the grand finale.
Rev. Awe is the General Overseer of Christ Proclaimers Global Ministry, Ibadan, and he preached on ‘Dealing with Curses’ using these texts: 1 Kings 5:1-5, 12 -13; Ruth 4:11-12; Genesis 38:1-29; Luke 12:6-9; and Jeremiah 4:3, 22:8, 28-29. Below is a summary of his sermon.
The fig tree in Luke 12:6-9 represents mysterious barrenness and fruitlessness, and it also shows that a man can be gifted but not lifted. Curses are spiritual embargoes put on people. But this was not so in the beginning (Genesis 1:28), as man was created to be blessed and not cursed. And the least anyone should be in life is to be fruitful. Curses are the opposite of blessings, and they are one of man’s greatest problems today. Curses operate on two levels:
- Isolation – affecting just one person.
- Collective – affecting a group of people.
Signs of an accursed person:
- He has the spirit of servitude.
- He narrowly misses blessings.
- He is always hated, even when he does the right thing.
However, the solution to being cursed is deliverance.
Prayer Points:
- Ask God for mercy.
- The gate to the place of my rest, open now in Jesus’ Name.
- As the Lord lives, everything working against me, shall begin to work for me from today, in Jesus’ Name.
Pastor Ola Olukoyede’s ministration looked at 1 Samuel 16:11–13 and 2 Kings 2:11–14. Here is a summary:
Two great objects God can use to take you to the next level are the mantle and the anointing. Your garment defines you, spiritually and physically.
Prayer Points:
- Father! Change my level in Jesus’ Name.
- Father! Connect me with people that matter in Jesus’ Name.
There were 49 first-time attendees at the services, while 9 people gave their lives to Christ.
P.S. “Whatever happens do not miss any of the remaining Breakthrough and Deliverance Services this year” – Pastor Olukoyede.
