JOY IN THE MORNING (Psalm 30:1 – 5)

It is the desire of the Lord to see His children joyful. Joy is always around when the presence of the Lord is with you (Psalm 16:11).

What is Joy?
It is the refusal to be subjected to sorrow. It does not mean happiness, it is much deeper. It is grace to overcome suppressive moods. It is deliverance from overbearing negative influences. It is refusal to be submissive to any form of psychological trauma. It is allowing the glory of God to shine forth in your life.
The night represents a time of darkness, sorrow, lack, weakness, confusion, and hard labour without reward. Your night of failure is over today and I welcome you to your morning of joy in Jesus name.

How Do You Provoke Joy?
1. You must trust in the Lord (Psalm 7:1). Put your trust completely in God.

2. You must to learn to declare the words of victory to yourself regularly. Focus on the good things about yourself, not the negative.

3. Anytime you are faced with challenges and afflictions in life, always remember that PRAYER works (especially midnight prayers). If you don’t pray to avert disaster, you will pray when it (disaster) comes.

4. Identify with the source of joy – JESUS. There is nothing in this world that can guarantee joy. You must know Him as your personal Lord and saviour to gain everlasting joy.
As early as 5:30am on Saturday, 26th May, God had started bringing His people into the church auditorium for the month’s Breakthrough and Deliverance Service. It was a service which God had ordained to liberate as many that were present. This was evident when Pastor Ola began his ministration. Among those in attendance (with 47 new members), these were some of the issues addressed:

• 18 people whose problems had defied solutions (their miracles started in the service).
• 2 young women who had spells placed on them.
• A 34 year old man with sight problems (the Lord transferred the blindness into the eyes of the sender).
• 77 people received a testimony (through the Holy Spirit).
• A man who lost money in a property deal.
• A woman with fluctuating menstrual cycle.
• People with dying organs.
• Persons trapped in evil nets.
• Anyone afflicted by a network of witches and wizards.
• Evil diversion of blessings, breakthroughs and good things.
At the end of the service, 4 people surrendered to Jesus. Do you desire liberation? Do you want God to do a new thing for you? Do you need breakthrough? Don’t miss next month’s service.

A. Father! Every plan of the enemy to divert good things from my life be destroyed in the name of Jesus.
B. Father! Every sacrifice offered on my behalf, working against me and making my testimonies unstable; whatever altar it is offered upon, I command both the altar and sacrifice to catch fire in Jesus name.
C. Father! In whatever way I have been entrapped in an evil net, I release myself by fire in Jesus name.

A close look at Proverbs 31:16-24 tells you that she considers a field and buys it; from her earnings she plants a vineyards. She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies belts to the tradesmen.

One upon a time, there was a young couple who were blessed with the birth of their first child. Because they loved this child so much, they wished that the wife could stay home and raise the child. But the bills still needed to be paid. So the wife went out and found the perfect job. She could arrive at work by 10am and leave at 2pm, and she was paid as though she was working full time! She could keep nursing and she could be home every day in time for his nap. While the baby napped, she was able to cook a delicious meal, wash and iron the clothes, clean the house and still have time to get herself beautiful before her husband came home. After playing with their child together, they would tuck him into bed and then have a wonderful conversation over the excellent candle-lit dinner she had prepared in their clean and well organized home.
So how did you like this story? Well “story” is the accurate word because it is a fairy tale.
Real life does not look like this as I think we would all agree. Wouldn’t it be great if everything just checked along as effortless as in the story? Wouldn’t it be wonderful if women of today could keep their homes running perfectly, their children growing into hard-working young adults who never argued with their parents, their husbands happy and able to bring in an income with hardly extra effort at all? I wish it could be like this, especially for single mothers but the fact is, we can’t do it all or have it all. I have to admit addressing the topic of women working is a challenge. Women are pulled in so many directions in today’s world. The expectations placed on women today far exceeds those from any other time in our history.
In the past, I know of a woman, my mother’s friend, when she was raising her first three children. She didn’t even have a car. Most families had just one car, that was for the husband to use to work, she didn’t have the health club commitment or weekly women’s meeting that we have in our life today. She took care of her family and loved every minute of it. Probably because she didn’t have other things pulling her apart in different directions.
Today, women are bombarded with opportunities and pressures to have career, to “be somebody”. But whenever the world tells me to do something that is when I need to open God’s word and see what it has to say about the roles of women in the workplace and in the home.
Titus 2:5 (NIV) says, “to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.”
The scripture above encourages women to be sensible, pure workers at home, kind, and being subject to their own husbands that the word of God may not be dishonoured. I believe this concept of loving and dutiful to our families as a way of honouring God is the principle that flows through Proverbs 31.

I was away (in Northern Nigeria) for a three month course, when I got there I asked God to give me grace to serve Him more and He granted my request. We were able to plant a church and the three Zonal Pastors I worked with asked me to pioneer the place. I was surprised because the church was far from my station and I had to travel through a desert-like area to get there. However, on our first service which was Easter Sunday, we had 47 people in attendance and to the glory of God, people volunteered to be workers in the same service. Over the following weeks, they requested to have their weekly programs. The parish was successfully established with functioning departments by the time I was leaving. I give glory to God for giving me the grace and not letting me disappoint Him, and as per the course I was there for, I successfully completed it with an award.

I am thanking God on the behalf of my younger brother who has been married for 19 years in the United Kingdom. I called his wife last year and told her that this year we would rejoice with her. God did it late last month, she was delivered of a bouncing baby boy after 19 years of marriage. Also, I travelled to Ghana on a business trip and on my way back I decided to go through Idiiroko road. At Atan, some of the custom officers asked that the entire load in the truck be offloaded. I was panicking in my heart and I was just praying that God would intervene and not allow my goods be detained. The supervisor suddenly came to me and another passenger as we stood by the vehicle. He asked us to remove our goods and as soon as we did the remaining goods were seized. God is indeed faithful!

I thank God for the salvation of my soul and for counting my family worthy to still be among the living. I thank Him for what he did in April, 2018. I remember that Daddy G. O. said the clothes we wore to the Holy Ghost Service in March were anointed and that we should use it. Two weeks after the programme, I felt that I was always feeling weak and sick, and I laid on my bed thinking of how to get malaria drugs to treat myself over the weekend. As I lay there, I felt inspired to put the anointed clothes on. As soon as I did, I fell under the anointing of God and was totally healed. I concluded that of a truth, there is God!

My sister gave birth to a baby boy last month and she also got her right to stay in London. I am grateful to God because that is what we have been hoping and struggling for and God has shown the United Kingdom that He is God. Praise the Lord.

A few years after I was married my husband lost his job at Aluminium City as a project supervisor because he had some issues with the South African Managing Director. After he left, he established an engineering firm with his friend and they were doing well until they had a problem and they parted ways. During this period life became very difficult for me. The responsibilities at home now rested on me. I knew how I suffered and prayed. The two areas I did not let suffer were the children’s education and feeding. When the going was good my husband bought five cars and a land in Ikorodu which he built up to lintel level. All this while, I kept praying and for over 8 years, my prayer request was ‘God bless my husband.’ One day in the service, pastor mentioned that a woman was in the service and she was the one feeding the family and is not happy about it. I knew it was me because I immediately fell under the anointing. The following day, I brought my husband to the church for counselling. One day an RCCG pastor’s wife told my husband that he would be blessed around October and that he should tell his wife to pay a thousand naira in church every month. I started doing so. Late last year, a highly connected lawyer who my husband had once worked for called him saying that he had been searching for his number. He said he should come bid for a contract in an oil company. We started the process and we had to quickly register the company name again because he had no valid registered company and that was how my husband won the contract. Last week, we moved into the apartment my husband bought in Lagos! I know there are people looking for this kind of blessing, as you stay steadfast in faith, the Lord will answer you. Praise the Lord!

I welcome you again to a new month, the fifth month in the year 2018, the month of Grace and Favour. It is my prayer for you this month that the Almighty God will release grace into your life, and struggle without reward will come to an end in Jesus name. What you need most to succeed in life is the Grace and benevolence of God. When God’s Grace is operating in your life, it will cause a revolution of favour and blessings; may this be your portion in Jesus name.

What is Grace? Grace is the supernatural ability of God to bless you with blessings and favour you do not deserve, and also to help you avert evils and arrows of the enemies. I pray that this month shall be a month of greatness for you in all areas of life in Jesus name. The Grace of God will locate you and your household, and no weapon formed or fashioned against you shall prosper in Jesus name.

From the Bible passage we can conveniently affirm that:

1) When you operate in Grace, the Lord will reveal His secrets to you (Exodus 33:13). The secret things of the Lord is with those who love Him and He will show you His ways today Jesus name.

2) When you operate in Grace, you are guaranteed God’s divine presence in your life all the time. The most important thing a man should pray for all his life is the presence of God. His presence guarantees peace. When the Lord shows you His ways He will not leave you alone; He will accompany you to the end.

3) When you operate in God’s Grace, REST for your soul is guaranteed in the course of the journey and at the end of the journey.

The Lord also assured Moses that he had found Grace in His sight and as such received a new identity.

Exodus 33:17 – And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

May the Lord brand you and your household newly today. May He give you a new identity and know you by name in Jesus name.

Prayer Points

1) Thank God and give Him praise for the gift of life, miracle of sleeping and waking up, and provisions. Thank Him for bringing you into a new month.

2) Because this is the fifth month of the year, and the figure 5 represents Grace; Father let your Grace locate every area of my life this month in Jesus name.

3) Father, let my ways and paths be clear this month in Jesus name.

4) As I continue in the journey of life this month, Lord let your presence be established in my life.

5) I receive REST from all my troubles this month in Jesus name.

Happy New Month
