(Isaiah 43: 18-19)

There are so many things that God does that cannot be seen such as the creation before the earth was made; but there are others that are revealed to men. When God is going to make a way for you, you have a role to play and it can be categorized into these three stages:

  1. Liberate Your Mind: Life is divided into three parts – the past, present and future; and your advancement in life is dependent on the state of your mind. To move forward in life, you must let go of your past and embrace your future which is found in God’s Word. When a mind dwells on past experiences (good or bad), such a life cannot move forward. To be liberated from the past does not mean that you will forget its experiences, but they will no longer have the power to influence you again. The salvation of your soul is the first step to releasing your mind from the past (10 people gave their lives to Christ during the service while 23 were first time attendees).
  2. Behold Your Glorious Future: After your salvation and the liberation of your mind, you will begin to behold the new things of God through the eye of your spirit (Psalm 36:9). This is because your spirit-man is the one who works with the Word of God and sends signals from it to your mind in order to establish your faith.
  3. Speak Forth: After beholding your future inspired by the Word of God, you must command it into existence. This is where prayer comes in (Romans 4:17 & 21).

Prayer Points:

  1. Plead the Blood of Jesus upon yourself, and ask for God’s mercy in any area where you need it.
  2. I decree and declare that no power assigned against me will be able to limit me in the Name of Jesus.
  3. I become unstoppable in my journey to greatness, fulfilment, breakthrough and success in the Name of Jesus.
  4. Every power prolonging my problems, you are in trouble today, catch fire in the mighty Name of Jesus.
  5. Father, every demonic chain that has tied me down to where I do not belong, break! Lose me now and let me go in the Name of Jesus.
  6. Holy Ghost fire catapult me to my next level in the mighty Name of Jesus.
  7. Begin to decree and declare where you want to see yourself and command it to existence; let it come to reality.

John 11:38-44

I welcome you to April, the month in which we celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. May the essence of His death and resurrection be made manifest in our lives in Jesus Name. Jesus was crucified and died on the cross of Calvary for you and me, so that we might live above sin and have life, and have it more abundantly (John 10:10).

The significance of the Easter celebration is threefold:

  1. It is important to remember that without the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, there could have been no hope for mankind. His death on the cross of Calvary brought an end to the works of Satan and the bondage of sin in our lives. “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). Jesus has paid the price through the shedding of His blood on the cross where He declared it is finished (John 19:30). If you have not received the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, the time has come for you to accept Him so that you may be delivered from the bondage of sin, oppression, sickness, failure and all kinds of afflictions, that His death will not be in vain in your life (Romans 8:1-6).
  2. Easter also symbolizes deliverance from the works of Satan, meaning that all that is not of God in your life shall give way this month: sickness shall die and give way to healing; oppression shall give way to freedom; yokes shall be destroyed; and the captives shall be set free. Get ready to celebrate your liberty this month in Jesus Name.
  3. The season also stands for escape from all forms of evil. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised” (Luke 4:18). “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death” (Revelation 1:18).

As you celebrate this season, the resurrected Christ shall deliver you from all forms of evil, and whatever the devil might have taken from you shall be restored back to you in Jesus Name.

  1. Thank God and give Him praise for the privilege to see a new month.
  2. Ask for the mercies of the Lord to help you this month and for His Grace to see you through.
  3. Father, do not allow your death to be in vain in my life in Jesus Name.
  4. Father, let every grave that has swallowed my blessings vomit them out now in Jesus Name.
  5. I decree that the month of April shall be a month of testimonies for me in Jesus Name.

Shalom and Happy New Month.

Fruit and Vegetables are among the healthiest foods in existence. They are excellent sources of vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals. They are easy to digest and exercise a cleansing effect on the blood and digestive tract. They are also rich sources of fibre. Vegetables in particular have the correct proportion of antioxidants, minerals and phytochemicals that help keep the blood sugar level in balance, create better energy in the body and along with fruits build up the immune system. The organic acids and high sugar content of fruits have immediate refreshing effects. Many fruits are rich in vitamin A, which supports the immune system, helps bone growth and keeps the skin healthy.

Our God in His perfect will for man in the beginning gave man a second instruction after the dominion mandate. This instruction pertained to his food (Genesis 1:29). Also, when Daniel and his friends chose to eat vegetables instead of the king’s meat, they emerged healthier and fatter than their contemporaries (Daniel 1:12-15). This eating habit attests to the contrary life expectancy of our biblical ancestors and present day.

Unfortunately, civilisation, modernization and nutrition transition in the world today have eroded our values for fruits and vegetables, and left us with obesogenic diets and the concomitant health challenges it poses.

Below is the rainbow classification of fruits and vegetables and some of their benefits.

  1. GREEN FOODS: (Lettuce, Spinach, Kale, Cabbage, Cucumber etc.) Green foods are especially good for the circulatory system. They contain minerals, Vitamin B-complex and phytochemicals like indoles which are powerful anti-cancerous compounds.
  2. RED FOODS: (Tomatoes, Watermelon, Red Cabbage etc.) The phytochemical, Lycopene, in red foods helps to prevent prostate cancer and reduces the effect of sun damage to the skin. Note, the more reddish your watermelon and tomatoes are at the point of consumption, the more their lycopene content.
  3. ORANGE FOODS: (Carrot, Pumpkin, Squash, Tumeric etc.) Orange foods contain carotenoids that help to prevent cancer by repairing the DNA (genes). These foods are good for the eyes and help night vision.
  4. YELLOW FOODS: (Pineapples, Oranges, Tangerines, Pawpaw, Peaches etc.) These fruits are high in antioxidants especially Vitamin C. They help to improve the health of the mucus membrane and connective tissue. They also prevent heart disease by improving circulation and preventing inflammation.
  5. WHITE AND GREEN FOODS: (Garlic, Onions, Celery etc.) The white and green food combination contain a variety of phytochemicals. Garic and Onions contain Allicin – the anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial pyto6 chemical that can act a “POOR Man’s ANTIBIOTIC”. Adding Garlic and onions to your meals reduces the toxicity of high fatty meats.
  6. RED/PURPLE/BLUE FOODS: (Red Apples, Strawberries, Cranberries, Prunes, Grapes, Blackberries etc.) These fruits are rich in a powerful anti-oxidant called anthocyanin that protects against heart diseases, improve circulation, and prevent blood cloth. They also contain anti-ageing phytochemicals.

Beloved, the time to detoxify your body is now. Make wise informed choices of your daily meals. “You are what you eat”.

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12).

This month, I want to task us to take heed about what we do when our children are around us. We are their best teachers and they emulate us unconsciously. Whatever we do as couples affect our children either positively or negatively.

Sometime ago, I held discussions with some children of workers and born-again Christians in and realized that we, Christians are like mirrors to our children. Some of them said their parents only complained about their dressings and how they did not study the Word nor attend programs; but when compared to their parents, they felt they were better. Then I asked, why? They listed things they had observed which made Christianity unappealing to them:

  1. They said Christians, particularly their parents, do not forgive each other. They keep malice and when they are in church, people believe that they are saints, and the little they know about God is that He said we should forgive (Matthew 6:12).
  2. They also observed that their parents did not love each other, yet claimed to be serving God, Who is love (1 John 4:8).
  3. Marital separation means nothing to them, which has made them to decide against living with their spouse when they are grown.
  4. They think Christianity to be a scam where people only do what pleases them and set aside other less pleasing instructions and principles. As a result, they attend to physical things such as how they look and how religious they seem, and are not concerned about developing a good relationship with God. Obeying God’s commandments to the letter are also deemed unnecessary.

Therefore, I have decided to advise us parents to please take heed in what we do and our decisions, so that it will not destroy our children’s lives and their relationships with God.

Do you know that many children from broken homes (divorced or separated) mostly end up becoming single parents? Some whose parents have in one way or another been abused also take decisions never to tolerate what their parents went through and end up with an unsettled home. This trend has continued for generations and it is time to put an end to it for the sake of future generations.

Please, for God’s sake, your children see and listen to most of your conversations, so be careful when you talk to your spouse. Let your quarrels end in your bedroom. It must not leak out because of its effect on your children. They are your legacy and future, do not let them refer to some of the negative things you said or did later in the future. How do you want to minister to your children when you have not crucified your flesh? What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul? (Mark 8:36)

The Bible says if you are bringing an offering to the Lord and you remember that someone is angry with you, leave your gift and first reconcile with him/her before presenting your offering. However, these days we are even bold to attend services without forgiving one another. Where is the spirit of old that made you feel very uncomfortable when you did not fully obey the Word of God?

For our children’s sake, let us recheck ourselves; whatever we are doing that can make our children to see our religion as hypocritical, please stop it. I pray that we will not loose any of our children to the devil nor will we become reprobates at the end in the Jesus Name.
