The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him” (Psalm 28:7).

I welcome you most warmly to the eighth month of the year, the month of August. So far this year, the Almighty God has been so good to us and our entire households may His Name be glorified in Jesus Name. Without any doubt, this year has been quite challenging especially in the face of the pandemic ravaging most parts of the world which has led to an economic crunch. Tens of thousands have died and millions are on sick beds, we pray for their quick recovery in Jesus Name and we also pray that the great comforter will comfort the families of those who have passed on. When you, therefore, think of all of these you will come to a conclusion that except the Lord builds the house they that build it labour in vain (Psalm 127:1).

In all of these also, we believe that our God is alive and still in charge of the affairs of men. Therefore, I decree that the Lord will give every reader of this piece a great testimony this month of August in the mighty Name of Jesus. In every area of your life where you need divine intervention, God will arise on your behalf and do a new thing that will fill your mouth with testimonies.

In Psalm 28:1-9, the psalmist gives us an idea of what to do when believing God for testimonies:

Zero your mind on God and God only – According to Psalm 28:1, David made it known to God that he had no other source of help. Isaiah 31:1 says, “Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!”… Thus, God could not afford to keep quiet on his matter. In Luke 11:5-13, Jesus gives us an insight into our Father in heaven’s reaction when you persistently knock on His door in the place of prayer. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 declares that we should pray without ceasing, while 2 Timothy 1:3 tells us that Paul prayed for Timothy day and night.

I like to encourage you to turn this month into a month of prayers without ceasing, believing that with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37), and it will surprise you as you see God turn your situation around and grant you testimonies.

  1. Praise God and give Him thanks for all He has done for you since the beginning of this year 2020.
  2. Thank God for protection over you and your household from the pandemic that is ravaging the world.

Pray vigorously and spend about 5 minutes on each of the following prayer points:

  1. Father, between now and the end of the month of August, do something new and glorious in my life in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
  2. Father, uproot every plant of sickness, failure and affliction in my life in Jesus Name.
  3. Father, please let favour overflow my life this month in Jesus Name.
