Love…. which the Holy Scriptures says surpasses all the fruits of the Spirit. But the one that captures my heart is the part where it says, Love is kind and does not seek after her own. You cannot talk about love and giving without referring to its originator – God

God is love and love is God. According to John 3:16, which is very popular, it was the unfathomable love God has for mankind that prompted Him to give the life of His dear Son Jesus Christ. Love precedes giving. If there’s no love, giving cannot be established.

Just as I mentioned earlier, the Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 13:4 that love is kind and doesn’t seek its own. In other words, love seeks after helping and giving to others. Hence, love and giving go hand in hand. If we profess to love, we must also act by giving.

Moreover, the scriptures command us to love our neighbours as ourselves (Leviticus 19:18, Matthew 22:39). As Christians, this is the right time to demonstrate our love towards others by giving sacrificially. The best moment to reach out to souls is now!!! In times such as this, when people cannot buy or sell as they use to and earn a living due to the total lockdown by the government as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic

The Church, You and I, must exhibit our primary reason for existence – which is to draw men to Christ through sacrificial giving. We should strive to save souls; this is the true meaning of love.
