This month, I will like to advise and encourage us women especially on how to achieve our goals as mothers, wives and friends easily. Women are at the forefront of so many challenges in the home, the task on us is a serious one and can only be achieved by God’s grace. So, calm down and do not wear yourself out because, if you are not careful, the same people you are trying all your best to satisfy will in most cases not appreciate you in turn. This is why you need to rely on God for all.
Hosea 4:6 says my people perish for lack of knowledge. Please understand the kind of home that you have so that at the end of the day, you will still be sane while trying to carry out your duties as wives and mothers.
Firstly, as I always say, nothing must take away your fellowship with your Creator. Remember, you are first in this world to serve your Maker.
Secondly, do not neglect your health. Without good health, you cannot serve others diligently. Watch what you eat, exercise regularly and love yourself. Enough of self-condemnation. Too many women are facing health and mental challenges today because they are deprived of love from their husbands, children and society. When you think of it, what is happening (negatively) in many homes is not ordinary, there are forces behind them.
Now, let us examine solutions to challenges in the home during this lockdown, especially the ones caused by money, care, love etc. Every woman desires a man who will help carry her financial responsibilities, but remember that it is only God Who can put it in a man’s heart to help you and perform his duties as your husband. So, see beyond your husband as the cause of the challenge, it is not him but the devil. If you can think this way, your problem is solved. Then you will be able to relate with him without bitterness and God will surely make a way for you.
Additionally, stop reporting him to his family; nor report them to him because he will not believe you no matter what happened. Learn to talk less, and process your words if you need to talk. It might be difficult in the beginning but you will get used to it. Talk more to God, engage yourself with prayers, listening to godly music and seasoned men of God. Remember, with God all things are possible (Luke 1:37). God feels your pain and you will soon laugh in Jesus Name.
Our God is fair, you just continue to be faithful and very soon He will vindicate you from all allegations. Remember, when God fights on your behalf, even you will be surprised. To our men, be careful because 1 Peter 3:7 says, “dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers not be hindered.”
